About ME!

I didn’t always know I wanted to be an actor, but there were signs. In my parochial school’s music class, despite the fact that I was a terrible singer as a child, I was always the loudest and most willing to learn the dances (which I was also bad at). When other kids were playing instruments or showing off their dance skills for the talent show, my friends and I performed skits that left the crowd wondering how a group of 8 year-olds came up with such a thing. (We didn’t come up with them. It was my best friend’s mom. But that’s besides the point). While other kids dreaded reading aloud in class, I delighted in the opportunity to show off my diction and always did my best to bring the text to life.

Though I had more opportunities to grow as an artist with drawing and painting throughout school, I always most loved performance art. I was so adamant about being on stage my freshman year that my high school created a play just for first-years. I played Judge Wise Old Woman in a play about the trial of the Big Bad Wolf. It was one of the best feelings I had ever experienced when the grandmother of a classmate told me I really had something special.

Throughout the years, I have taken every opportunity I could to perform: Feature films, improv, short films, plays, hosting; Each holds a special place in my heart. My favorite projects are the ones with heart, because that’s also what I like to watch. Additional interests are magical realism, female-driven narratives, and humor of any variety.

Professionalism is important to me on set, but so is humanity. I will always go out of my way to make things easier on others, even if it isn’t my job. Speaking of… I wonder how well the sound turned out the day I was asked to hold the boom mic for a few scenes… One of the most common and treasured compliments I get is that I am very good at taking direction. I’m willing to talk with you about your vision and do my darndest to bring it to life.

Outside of acting, I have a lot of things I love! My family, my friends, animals, nature, sewing, writing, drawing, making anything with my hands, and teaching all come to mind. My hyper focus kicks in putting together jigsaw puzzles and listening to audiobooks. Doing the NYT word games is a morning necessity. I’m always happiest with a treat in my hand–shout out to Magnolia Bakery’s banana pudding and Mom & Em’s decaf latte in the pics above.

If any of this makes you think I’m someone you might jive with, let’s talk! Maybe there’s something we can work on together right now! Maybe it’s down the road. Maybe we could just be friends. I’m always happy to meet like-minded creatives and people in general (because supporting art is just as important as being the one making it!)
